Emily….I watched a video on this website, looking at the “creative process”, and watching one of the band telling a session muso what he wanted to hear….describing it in terms that made sence only to him, while the muso sat there and attempted to put it all into practice…

Reminds me of Yoko Ono attempting to tell David Spinoza how to play a guitar, as she did at her recording sessions where David was hired to breathe life into Yoko’s “conceptualist” garbage….

I don’t have anything against Travis or the band, but if they were real musos, they wouldn’t need session musicians…

If Travis reads this, I hope he’s satisfyed with the results, adding nothing whatsoever to music as an artform and contributing to the current cycle of “productionism”…

This show ended up being one of the best Slope Days we’ve had in the past few years. GCH brought so much energy and fun–definitely the best way to end the school year. :] I actually wrote about the show and included photos in my blog (http://almostalist.com) if anyone is interested in seeing those.
Oh, and Disashi is definitely a CU grad. Apparently his parents work at Cornell too, lol
