Gym Class Heroes

Legendary rock magazine Alternative Press recently ran a feature on Gym Class Heroes after catching up with them in the studio while recording The Quilt. Alternative Press has been giving the band quite a bit of attention lately, also recently naming Disashi one of the top guitarists of 2007. Part of the article talked about how Gym Class plans to gain their legitimacy in the hip-hop community with the new record. Travie has made it no secret that he plans to release some of his best microphone work with this album to garner the attention of hip-hop’s elite. While we already know the album is produced by Patrick Stump and that Busta Rhymes as well as Daryl Hall will be featured on a couple of tracks, as well that a couple tracks will be produced by Miami’s Cool and Dre, the article says there is a list of other featured artists who will appear – though the group is keeping their mouths shut about it for now. Heck, with enough teasers out there to wet GCH fans appetites already, the album could feature Jesus and it wouldn’t make a difference.

Travie also released yet another teaser on his blog, with a collaboration of a few of the upcoming tracks. It’s only a small snippet of a bunch of new songs strewn together, but I’m sure diehards who crave new GCH material will love it. Go check it out.
